Major League Baseball- World Series

The Royals and Mets are the final two teams remaining. Royals have the experience of being in the World Series after losing to the Giants last year. While the last time the Mets won the World Series was in 1986, and the Royals was in 1985. The two face off for the pennant, who will walk away with it?
The Mets unbelievable starting pitchers start the series off by pitching Matt Harvey. While the Royals start off with Edinson Volquez, which his father had died before the game, and they neglected to tell him. Both pitchers are one of the best in the game, but in the end it comes down to the hitting for the teams to come out on top.
The Royals First batter of the game, Alcides Escobar hits an inside-the-park home run to bring the Royals up 1-0. The center fielder missed the pop-fly, and then kicked the ball so Alcides had ample time to make it around the bases. Volquez had three innings where the Mets didn't score any runs. Then comes the fourth inning, Murphy got on base to lead off the inning, then the rest of the team hit him home so now it is 1-1 in the fourth inning. In the fifth inning Granderson hit a home run to right field which brings the lead to 2-1 for the Mets. The 6th inning comes around and the Mets are at it again, they got a few more hits together and scored another run to bring the lead to 3-1.
The Royals need to get back into the game at this point, it is now the bottom of the 6th inning with only a few at bats remaining in the game and they are down by two. Then the Royals brought there game out. It starts off with Zobrist hitting a double, and then a few more hits comes together and Zobrist scores. While Cain advances with Zobrist and then gets hit in on the next at bat, the score is now 3-3.
Nothing happens until the 8th inning. The Mets scored by an error on Hosmer, which has one error all post season. The Mets score off the error, and then gets the lead from 4-3. Almost all hope is lost for the Royals, bottom of the ninth and no hit in sight for the Royals. Then Alex Gordon gets up to bat, and hits a home run to dead center field to tie it up 4-4 and send the game to extra innings.
The game lasts for 14 innings, no runs scored. Until the 14th, Escobar gets on base by an error, Zobrist gets a hit to right field, then Hosmer hits a sacrifice fly to score Escobar. Royals win game 1.
